March 2021
The Steering Group has now completed draft reports which will be reviewed by our Planning Consultant and compiled into our draft Neighbourhood Plan shortly. We are awaiting a grant from Locality before assessing any sites for Affordable Housing.
STEERING GROUP GETS TO WORK - FEB 2020
Following in depth discussions with our planning consultants the Steering Group has identified the key policy areas for the Neighbourhood Plan. These include policies on Design & Heritage, Green Infrastructure & Environment, Rural Enterprise, and Community Assets.
Sub-Groups have now been established and work is underway to conduct research, analyses and consultation programmes to support the proposed policies. Using the evidence gathered the sub-groups will then prepare reports for the Steering Group to bring together and consider.
Once this work has been completed the Steering Group will hold an informal consultation to check the policy ideas and evidence base with the community. We will conduct a survey to gauge your views on each of the proposed policies and will incorporate changes to reflect the results of the survey.

HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY - September 2018
We recently conducted a Housing Needs Survey with the assistance of Surrey Community Action. A report on the findings can be found here.
WE NEED HELP - PLEASE GET INVOLVED
Neighbourhood Plans require work to be done by the community: including identifying the key issues for the parish; developing the policies for the Plan; and researching and collating evidence to support them. The process usually takes the best part of two years, but it depends on the complexity of the Neighbourhood Plan being prepared and the pace at which the Steering Group and Task Groups are willing and able to work.
We are initially looking for ten to 12 volunteers to join the Steering Group. Then, once the key issues facing the parish have been identified, a number of Task Groups will need to be formed to research and collate evidence in support of the policies being developed.
In September we are holding a Kick Start Evening for everyone who has offered to help. The evening will include welcome drinks, a talk from the chairman of the Steering Group, and a presentation on Neighbourhood Planning from a Senior Planning Policy Officer at Guildford Borough Council.
